"Our goal is to be your first choice in your selection process of where to feed your next pen of cattle," Jeff Sternberger said. Jeff Sternberger is manager and part owner of Midwest Feeders, Inc., a 52,000 head commercial feedlot north of Ingalls, Kansas. Jeff has been around cattle and farming all of his life. After graduating from college, he worked in the agriculture banking field for several years. In 1992, he and a small group of investors bought a closed 4,000 head feedyard. Sternberger then began building a management team and enlarging the operation to a capacity of 20,000 by 1996. After purchasing an adjacent section of land across the highway a new addition and new feedmill, which included a steam-flaker for their feed corn, increased the capacity to the current 52,000 head.
The management team of Jeff Sternberger, Assistant Manager Matthew Welsh, Office Manager Angie Hale, Cattle Foreman Frank Littrell, Payables Clerk Heather Seifried and Cattle Clerk Rachel Oliver has made customer satisfaction their goal and will settle for nothing less.
We will strive to make your cattle venture a rewarding one. There is a difference when it comes to cattlefeeding.
