"Our goal is to be your first choice in your selection process of where to feed your next pen of cattle," Jeff Sternberger said. Jeff Sternberger is CEO and part owner of Midwest Feeders, Inc., a 92,000 head commercial feedlot north of Ingalls, Kansas.
Jeff has been around cattle and farming all of his life. After graduating from college, he worked in the agriculture banking field for several years. In 1992, he and a small group of investors bought a closed 4,000 head feedyard. Sternberger then began building a management team and enlarging the operation to a capacity of 20,000 by 1996. Over the next 30 years, Midwest Feeders purchased additional land, added pens, and built a
new feed mill increasing its current capacity to 92,000 head.
The management team of Jeff Sternberger, Manager Matthew Welsh, Assistant Manager Kurt Snyder, CFO Angie Crone, Cattle Foreman Frank Littrell, Cattle Procurement/Loan Clerk Heather Seifried, Accounts Payable/Commodities Clerk Rachel Oliver and Cattle Clerk Estrella Ruiz has made customer satisfaction their goal and will settle for nothing less.
